Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight titleholder Michael Bisping has been making good use of his downtime in between mixed martial arts (MMA) fights, recently filming xXx: The Return of Xander Cage alongside mug-faced action star Vin Diesel.
You can thank Conor McGregor for that.
I never saw the first xXx movie — or the putrid remake starring Ice Cube when Diesel decided he was too fast and fastidious to make action movies — but the plot description tells me he’s an extreme sports athlete recruited by the government for a special mission.
Sounds like that dopey Point Break remake they tortured us with a few months back but hey, suspension of disbelief and all that jazz.
With his celluloid duties wrapped, Bisping (“Hawk”) can turn his attention to his next middleweight title defense. With Georges St-Pierre unable to reach a deal with UFC, all signs point to Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza later this year.
